One of my SB Receivers has started disappearing from LMS after a day or so and then requires a power cycle. Is there anything that I can do to (try and) fix it or should I bin it?

Cannot conntec to reciever anymore
Just installed a new router Sagemcom dualband (2,4 Ghz + 5 GHz), instead of Sagemcom single band.
After the installation I set the controller back to factory settings and did go through the whole installation process again, without any problem. The controller connects to my wi-fi ok. When asked to connect to the receiver the controller show the right reciever (last six number of the Mac-code) but it cannot connect to the reciver?
Tried to reset the receiver by holding the bottom in fo like +10 secs and it start to flash red rapidly, solid red for a short while and the slow red flashing, just like it says in the manual, but then nothing more is happening?
Can the controller have stored some informations from the privous network, despite I did starts up on factory settings, since it comes up with the Mac code from the receiver, despite the receiver is not connetted to the net work?
Is there a step further back than factory settings, to do a whole new set-up again?

Can we get full Tidal functionality using the Duet?
On the web Tidal offers the ability to click "Track Radio" to hear the artist in a continuous stream, or "Artist Radio" to hear that artist plus similar artists in a continuous stream.
I can't see either of these options available on the controller or mysqueezebox.com or the LMS.
Are they, and I'm missing them?

controller wheel hard to turn
The scroll wheel doesn't turn very easily now. I've resorted to putting a cut piece from a foam ear plug under my finger to get more traction.
Besides roughing up the surface to get more traction, as was suggested some time ago in a post, does anyone now have any other ideas?
Another post described taking the unit apart (for other purposes), but since I'm not mechanically inclined, I'm sort of afraid of rendering the controller inoperable, as opposed to fully function albeit with extra effort :-)

10 second screen dim takes 90 seconds/battery life
Regarding battery life, I sometimes like to switch music a lot and explore, listening to 30 seconds here and there. As I do so, the battery drains on the controller really fast, like in a half hour or less. Is this normal battery life?
To increase battery time when I'm listening without surfing around, I set the screen dim to 10 seconds, but it takes 90 seconds, even when I put the controller down on the table. I tried to increase the number, and it took even longer. Is there a way to get the controller to dim more quickly?

thumb drive/hard drive as library
Is there any way to play a library with the computer off?
My idea is, attach a thumb drive or hard drive to the usb port on my router. Could that then be a library?
If so, start playing it.
Then if the computer is shut off but the modem and computer left on, would the music keep playing?

PS: I know I can play music using the MySB.com connection with the computer off, but I'm still having connection issues with MySB.com.

What's wrong about it? Your receiver can't play 24/96, therefore it's
transcoded on the fly.

Trouble connecting Squeezebox Duet to Logitech Media server running on NAS

My setup is a Squeezebox Duet (7.7.3) and Logitech Media Server (7.7.3) running on Synology Diskstation (DS710+)
I can see the Squeezbox Receiver and mysqueezebox.com in the Media Server and play all my music on the Squeezbox.
What i cant do is control the music on my NAS with the Squeezbox controller.
The automatic scan via "My Music" does not find the Media Server on the NAS and if i enter the the NAS ip (192.168.1.250:9002/)
under Advanced/Network/ connect remote library , I just get "Connecton not possible make sure the server is running and Logitech Media Server is installed"
What i have tried:
-Reseting the Squeezebox

-Automatic search for my music

I have a important question about communication between the duet and my future NAS synology DS215J : are they compatible ?? Can I install LMS on the NAS? I saw the LMS package didn't exist for this model of NAS.

Format change on web control.
My web control screen changed to an all black and white screen that's not nearly as functional as the familiar green screen. Any ideas on how to revert back? Tried to take a screen shot, but I can't get it to paste here.:confused::confused::confused:

Automatic or scheduled adj to Controller brightness
I've started using the Controller's clock screensaver as bedside clock as I can no longer see the clock on the SB Radio clearly (getting old is rubbish, don't do it). Brightness needs to be turned down way low so as not to illuminate the whole bedroom. Works fine like this.
However, when I want to use Controller to change channel etc it's a hassle to have to turn brightness up and then back down. Is there any automated way that'll help? I guess ideal would be that screensaver has a different set brightness to Now Playing.
I've tried searching and found an unresolved query on the same topic from a couple of years ago so thought it'd be worth a try now

Found a way to make the controller screen brighter ? or replaced screen ?
My 3 controllers are all pretty dim. I prefer to use them than the various apps available.

Duet Reeiver Died
My Duet receiver is dead. Depressing the front button does not produce a response. I checked the power supply with a voltmeter and it is working.
I cant seem to find a replacement receiver on E-Bay. Is there a 3rd party receiver in production or is there a product similar to the Duet Available?

Any way to setup duet receiver without controller?
Ive used an app on my cell phone for years and it worked fine until I factory reset my duet by accident. My receiver now is off line. Anyone know if there is a way to set up without a real controller? Mine is shot - bad LCD

Duet Issues
I bought a Duet off eBay and sadly it seems that the pause button on the controller does not work. Is there an simple workaround for this? I guess I can just clear the playlist, eh? It seems wasteful to just leave the player running when I am done... It is kinda like leaving the water running and leaving the house... hehehe
Also, I attempted to set this up with mysqueezebox.com and I think I have it working. Do I need to register the MAC address with Logitech (like I did when I bought a used SB3)?
Finally, I have the receiver attached with wired Ethernet and I instructed the controller to connect wirelessly to the receiver (not my home wireless network). I am able to listen to my home music library. Why does the light on the front of the receiver show orange? It seems to be working. It should show blue, right?
