Connecting the duet to server with controller or perl script

I'm searching for a way to get my duet receiver out of init mode without the controller (its broken) or perl (i really dont understand)
Is there a new app? I used to do it with squeezeconfig on android box, but that wont work anymore.....

Tring to connect the receiver to the server on a raspbery with max2play.
Used to work perfect until some one put it to factory defaults.
