I have an odd (to me) example of an internet stream cutting out on my Receiver. I have LMS installed on my PC (win7) connected by ethernet cable to my router. The receiver is connected wireless, about 2 ft from the router. Quite often, when playing internet streams (internet radio, Pandora, Rhapsody, etc.), the sound will cut out, then resume 5-30 s later, only to cut out again in 5-30s. I assume the buffer is running out. I'd chalk it up to the turtle-like download speeds my ISP (Frontier) provides -- and indeed, the problem is worse when other devices in the home are streaming too. However, I've noticed that I can connect my computer directly to the same stream (using software such as winamp or the like) at the same time as I've connected the receiver, and the computer-based stream never cuts out, even while the receiver one does. Can anyone explain why the receiver would be more susceptible to buffering issues than a software player on my computer? (By the way, I also have a Classic and get same results with that. Also, I've tried connecting the Receiver directly to the router with an ethernet cable, but that doesn't change its behavior.) Any thoughts would be helpful.
